NMTC 2025 Exam Pattern

Exam pattern helps candidates to understand question types, manage time during the exam, focus on essential topics, and reduce anxiety by knowing what to expect.

The NMTC exam consists of two main stages for most participants, with an exception for senior-level students:

  • Preliminary Test: All candidates, except seniors, start here. It’s held at participating schools, lasts 2 hours, and includes objective questions (multiple choice and fill-in-the-blanks). The test assesses problem-solving skills using moderate (20%) and challenging (80%) questions. The top 10% of performers advance to the final test.

Note: Students selected for the preliminary level test will get certificates, which may be treated as the Hall Ticket for the final examination.

  • Final Test: Only for those who pass the preliminary round, this 3-hour subjective test covers more advanced topics. It’s conducted in the respective institutions, focusing on deeper mathematical understanding.

Key Points:

  • Senior students directly enter the final test.
  • Exams follow strict schedules set by AMTI.
  • Schools evaluate preliminary responses, and the final tests are by AMTI.
  • The top 10% in the preliminary round move to the last, with their performance certificates as their entry ticket.

How Are the Results for NMTC 2025 Declared?

The NMTC 2025 results will be announced by the Association of Mathematics Teachers of India (AMTI) after completing both the Preliminary and Final tests. The results will showcase participants’ performance, highlighting those who have excelled at national levels in mathematical talent. Candidates can check their results on the official AMTI
